Monthly Gifts

Setting up a recurring gift is an easy and cost-effective way to make a gift to St. Francis School. Monthly donations can be processed via a checking or savings account using our Monthly Giving Form. Or online here.

Matching Gifts

Multiply the value of your gift! Many employers (and former employers, for retirees) match the charitable gifts of their employees. A matching gift by your employer increases your generosity to St. Francis School by adding the matching amount to your gift at no additional expense to you. It is easy to make a matching gift: simply ask your human resources department about its matching employee donations policy and follow the recommended procedure. Many companies now use an online portal where you will search for St. Francis School Tax ID (EIN) # 39-0813434.

IRA Charitable Rollover

An IRA Charitable Rollover is a popular charitable option for anyone 70 ½ years or older, allowing for gifts of up to $100,000 annually (or up to $200,000 for a married couple).

Also known as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), this gift option provides a tax benefit when donations are made directly from your IRA to St. Francis School. Your gift can potentially reduce annual income level, Medicare premiums, and amount of Social Security subject to tax.
Contact your IRA provider to request a donation be made directly to St. Francis School. Note: Some financial institutions do not include donor name with IRA gifts. Please call or email us to let us know that you have made an IRA donation to St. Francis School.

Donor-Advised Funds

Many families take advantage of Donor-Advised Funds and St. Francis School is glad to accept gifts in this manner. We encourage you to consult your DAF sponsor and recommend St. Francis School for a grant from your Donor-Advised Fund.

Appreciated Stock

Giving by way of appreciated stock can be an excellent way to maximize tax advantages for you and support St. Francis School. There are two advantages to donating appreciated securities to St. Francis School. First, you avoid paying capital gains taxes on the amount of the appreciation. Second, you can still deduct the full amount of the current value of the stock as a charitable income tax donation. If you cannot use all of the deductions in the year you make the gift, you may carry over the deduction for an additional five years.

We ask that you advise us of the stock name/symbol, number of shares, and transfer date so that we are able to identify your gift when it arrives. If a gift of stock arrives and we have not been alerted to this information, it is nearly impossible for us to determine who the donor was who made the gift. We ask that you share this information so that we can properly thank you and provide formal acknowledgment for your tax purposes.

Planned Giving

By including St. Francis School in your will, living trust, or as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy, you receive benefits in addition to tax savings and retention of your assets. The St. Francis School Legacy Society recognizes donors who include St. Francis School in their estate plans.
