At St. Francis School we believe penmanship and cursive handwriting are important. To build on this life skill we have developed a program where the students will practice the handwriting,  learn to read it, address an envelope and build relationships, as well as, friendships with some of our parishioners through our "Parishioner Pen Pal Program".  The students and their pen pals write several letters back and forth in cursive handwriting throughout the course of the year.  There will be a "Meet and Greet" where our pen pals can meet in person.
