Dear St. Francis School Families,
5th Grade Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank you for our teachers, our friends and the education we receive.
Thank you for the opportunity to praise Jesus at our school and for Father Eric
as he helps us praise Jesus and find the right path that is right for us.
Thank you for allowing our school to continue to thrive with great food,
successful fundraisers, safe and fun field trips, and technology. Amen
Please join us in prayer for our 5th Grade Class
We all need to seek God in prayer with our joys, worries, and thankful moments. Thank you for being a prayer partner
for our school. This week we will be lifting up our 5th Grade Class in prayer.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12
PRAYER PARTNERS: Next week, we will join together in prayer for All Saints Day.
FIFTH GRADE THANK YOU: The fifth grade class wants to thank all the students who supported their bake sale (and the parents who gave them the money). We are off to a wonderful start with our Valley Fair Trip Fund!

ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL MARKETING VIDEO: The Diocese of La Crosse has chosen to create marketing videos for all the schools in the La Crosse Diocese. On Tuesday, October 30, The Post House from Eau Claire will be at St. Francis School filming scenes for our marketing video. This video will be posted on our school and parish websites and Facebook pages and will also be used in marketing opportunities for our school. Talent Consent and Release Form were due last week in order that your child be approved to be included in our school’s video. Please contact me with any questions you may have about the marketing video.
HEAD LICE: Please continue to do your part to prevent the spread of lice by checking your child(ren) daily for the next few weeks, and on a regular basis thereafter. If you should discover a case of head lice, be sure to follow a recommended treatment plan and notify the school office.
HEARING SCREENING: On Tuesday, October 16, we held our hearing screening for our 4YK - 3rd Grade students. If your child received a “refer” reading, a Hearing and Middle Ear Screening Form will be included in your weekly envelope today. If you received a “refer” reading, there is no required action at this time. This is included to inform you of the results. Your child may have had a cold or not felt well the day of the screening. We will have another hearing screening this year and your child will be retested. If at that time your child is still receiving a “refer” reading, a medical evaluation would be recommended. If your child received a “pass” reading, their form will be added to their medical file.
GR. 1 - FINGERPRINTING – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23: The Ellsworth Police Department, along with Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services, will complete fingerprint kits for first grade students on Tuesday, October 23. The fingerprinting will be done by a police officer at school, and then the kit will be sent home for parents to complete and keep in a safe location. In the event of an emergency, the kit would help parents provide vital information to emergency personnel.

Students who did not have their picture taken during our Back-to-School Night will need to have theirs taken on October 23 so that we have a photo for the student permanent records and the yearbook.
