PROJECTS FOR LENT: As a school we will be making cards for kids in the hospital as part of the
Cards for Hospitalized Kids Program. Hospitalized kids often feel lonely and forgotten. An uplifting card can Help with these challenges and brighten their day! Our cards will be sent in and distributed around the USA.
Also during Lent, St Francis will be collecting diapers to benefit First Choice Clinic. In 2016 First Choice Clinic distributed more than 6,500 diapers to those in need. Thank you for your generous response so far, we will continue to collect diapers until Easter.
GR. 2 - FIRST COMMUNION LEARNING CENTERS - MAR. 29: Second grade families are reminded that there is one more night that the First Communion Learning Centers will be available: Wed., Mar. 29. The centers will be available from 3 - 6 p.m.
END OF THIRD QUARTER - MAR. 30/NO SCHOOL – MAR. 31: Our third quarter ends Tuesday, March 30. There is no school on Friday, March 31.
SPRING PICTURES – APR. 6: Students will have an opportunity to have a spring photo taken on Thursday, Apr. 6. Watch for more details soon.
HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION MEETING - APR. 6: Our last Home & School Association meeting of the school year will be held Tues., Apr. 6 at 6 p.m. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend!
EASTER VACATION SCHEDULE: There are no classes on Good Friday, April 14 or Easter Monday, April 17. Thursday, April 13th is a school day, as it is the first snow make-up day from January 17.
GR. 2 - FIRST COMMUNION PRACTICE & BANNER MAKING - APR. 18: Second grade families whose child will receive their First Communion at St. Francis Parish this year are reminded of our practice and banner making evening on Tuesday, April 18, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall.
GR. 2 FIRST COMMUNION - APR. 23: Our second grade students will receive their First Communion Sunday, April 23 at the 10:30 p.m. Mass. Please keep these students in your prayers as they continue to prepare for this important day!
TEACHER INSERVICE - NO CLASSES - APR. 28: St. Francis students will not have classes on Friday,
April 28 as our teachers will be attending a diocesan teacher inservice in LaCrosse, WI.
SECOND SNOW MAKE UP DAY – JUNE 8: Due to our snow day on Friday, February 24, we will now have school on Thursday, June 8 (second snow make-up day). This will be a half day for St. Francis and will include our special Mass, 5th grade softball game and picnic lunch. The last day for our 4YK at St. Francis will be Friday, June 2 as originally planned.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL- SAVE THE DATE: The 2017 St. Francis Summer Vacation Bible School will be held Monday - Friday mornings July 10th through 14th, 2017 for children who will have completed any of the grades 4YK through 4th Grade this school year. Students who are currently in 5th grade and up - we will need your help with leading, teaching and helping these young people! Save the dates! More information will be coming later!
