Dear St. Francis School Families,
Prayer for Perseverance
Holy Lord, Thank You for grace.
Please help me move beyond the hurdles
that trip me up and give me the strength
and wisdom to look up and
see the hope I run toward in Christ.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
~ Gwen Smith

It’s a redo! 2017 - 2018 HOME & SCHOOL OFFICER BALLOTS: I made a mistake on the ballot, placing a name in the wrong position. We need to do this again and in a hurry! Please return this new ballot, which is on blue paper by Wednesday of this week. My apologies for the inconvenience, Anne Matzek.
REPORT CARDS: Report cards will be sent home with students today.
PROJECTS FOR LENT: As a school we will be making cards for kids in the hospital as part of the
Cards for Hospitalized Kids Program. Hospitalized kids often feel lonely and forgotten. An uplifting card can Help with these challenges and brighten their day! Our cards will be sent in and distributed around the USA.
Also during Lent, St Francis will be collecting diapers to benefit First Choice Clinic. In 2016 First Choice Clinic distributed more than 6,500 diapers to those in need. Thank you for your generous response so far, we will continue to collect diapers until Easter. Please consider sending at least one package per family. It is a simple way to help those in need!
LENTEN MITE BOXES DUE PALM SUNDAY: The student mite boxes should be returned to church on Palm Sunday weekend, April 8-9. This almsgiving for the poor is one element of our Church’s recommended Lenten practices.

If you have questions, please contact Mindy Anderson at 715-273-3900.
SPRING PICTURES - APR. 6: Students will have an opportunity to have a spring photo taken on Thursday, April 6. Younger brothers/sisters may be photographed, beginning at 7:30 a.m. If you wish to have a group photo taken of your children, please send a note indicating that by Wed., Apr. 5. We plan to take pictures in this order: individual photos of younger siblings, any group photos, then individual photos of St. Francis students. Please do not feel obligated to purchase photos if you are not interested, but we will have everyone photographed as our school receives money toward our yearbook purchases. The flyer with background choices was sent home in the weekly envelope last week. Each child needs one form with your choice of background marked for that child. Send no money now. If you have more than one child in the Ellsworth School District, including St. Francis School, you can receive all complete portrait packages (1 package for each child) for a total of $70.00.
