Dear St. Francis School Families,
Standing at the Gates of the New Year
waiting on the threshold
of this new year,
you open the gates
and beckon to me:
Be not wary of what awaits you
as you enter the unknown terrain,
be not doubtful of your ability
to grow from its joys and sorrows.
For I am with you.
I will be your Guide.
I will be your Protector.
You will never be alone.”
Guardian of this new year,
I set aside my fears, worries, concerns,
I open my life to mystery, to beauty,
to hospitality, to questions,
to the endless opportunity
of discovering you in my relationships,
and to all the silent wisps of wonder
that will draw me to your heart.
I welcome your unfailing Presence
and walk with hope into this new year.

REGISTRATION FORMS FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR: We begin taking registrations for next school
year today, and will continue through Wednesday, January 18. Each child who will attend St. Francis School next year will need to have a completed Registration Application Form and Tuition Payment Plan on file. These forms are included in today’s envelope for those families who will have children in grades K-5 next school year. Please complete and return as soon as possible, but no later than Wednesday, January 18. A 4YK registration packet will be mailed to incoming families. The price break for parish members, when originally established, was intended to recognize the financial commitment these families were already making to St. Francis Parish. Each family who claims parishioner status is asked to review their financial contributions to St. Francis Parish and make an increase where appropriate. For the 2017-2018 school year, tuition will increase $100 per student for parish families, and $100 per student for non-parish families. See the enclosed Tuition Payment Plan for more specifics.
CARNIVAL RAFFLE TICKETS SALES FORM: Please return the Raffle Tickets Sales Form by Wednesday, January 4th. This form was sent home in the weekly envelope on December 7th along with the carnival letter. Thank you!
WEDNESDAY MASS MUSIC: Please contact the school if you know of anyone who might be able to play piano/organ for the Wednesday morning Mass that is attended by our students.
FIRST COMMUNION PARENT MEETING: A First Communion parent meeting for second grade will be held at 5:45 pm on Wednesday, January 4.
FIRST RECONCILIATION: First Reconciliation will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Francis Church.
TUITION DUE: If you are on Plan 2 for tuition (two payments a year), tuition is due by January 13.
FELLOWSHIP HOSTED BY OUR ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL FAMILIES: On January 14th and 15th we will be hosting a fellowship after each mass. Without the support of parish members, our school wouldn’t be the same. We’d like to show our appreciation by inviting them to the school for treats! Please consider helping to make this possible by volunteering to set up and serve for a mass and/or to supply the donuts, coffee cake and fruit for the occasion. Please sign up at the following link: http://signup.com/go/5eFt7E. Bring your children, so they can hand out thank you cards as parish members arrive.
ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL SCHWAN’S CAMPAIGN: The St. Francis Home and School Organization is launching a new Schwan's campaign for the holidays.
