Dear St. Francis School Families,
Lord Jesus, teach us not to waste the gifts you have given us.
May we recognize the talents we have.
May we find the courage and knowledge to use these talents to help others,
to build up your kingdom, and to enjoy a fulfilled and happy life. Amen
Thank you for being a Prayer Partner for our school!
We all need to seek God in prayer with our joys, worries, and thankful moments. Thank you for being a prayer partner for our school. This week we will be lifting up our Kindergarten Grade Class in prayer ~ Levi Acker, Arie Christensen, June Feuerhelm, Tate Francis, Ben Johnson, Walker Loberg, Markus Lorentz, Anna Puhrmann, Aaron Riester, Lane Rohl, Zachary Shafer, and Grace Turvaville
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
PRAYER PARTNERS: Next week of March 3-9 we will join together in prayer for a fun and safe Spring Break for everyone!
The following week, March 10-16, we will lift up our 4YK class in prayer
2018 Down on the Farm Carnival ~ Thank You!
The Down on the Farm Carnival was a great success! It was obvious how much fun the kids had and the adults walked away with many great prizes too! The prizes were made possible by the donations of many local businesses! Please take a look at the list of donors on the next page. I am so grateful to everyone who helped make this day happen including our committee members, school staff, parents, students, and families, who worked during the carnival, area businesses, members of our parish, those who sold raffle tickets, and those who came to enjoy the day! May God bless each of you for the work you have done. St. Francis will be better for it. Anne Matzek ~ Carnival Chair

BALL CHAIRS: Just an FYI-Recently the risk management consultant from Catholic Mutual Group Insurance, completed a safety inspection of the school and made several recommendations which would make the school facilities much safer. One of the observations centered on ball chairs in the classrooms. The recommendation is to remove all ball chairs from classrooms to help eliminate trip and fall hazards. So starting next year ball chairs will not be allowed in the classrooms unless it is required to help facilitate an IEP or 504 Plan.

The 2018 St. Francis Carnival is in the history books and by all accounts it was a big success. I would like to thank Anne Matzek and the Carnival Committee for all of their hard work. What a testament to the school, parents and parish, it wouldn’t have been possible without everyone pulling together. I would also like to thank all of the individuals and businesses who contributed to the Carnival; your support is truly a blessing. A reminder that Spring Break is next week March 5 – 9, I hope all of our St. Francis families take the time to relax and reconnect after this long and cold winter. May God Bless you All.
