Dear St. Francis School Families,
Yesterday we began a new church year (liturgical year) with the season of Advent.
Advent is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming
at the end of time and also the anniversary of our Lord’s birth on Christmas.
There are many online resources available that you might find helpful during these days of preparation.
Show us, Lord, your love;
and grant us your salvation.
- Psalm 85:8

Thank you in advance for helping us prepare our hearts for the season of Christmas!

Any lost ticket is a $100 loss to the school. Please read the letter that is with the tickets to learn more. Thanks for your support of the school Carnival!
HOME & SCHOOL MEETING MINUTES: The meeting minutes from last week’s Home & School Meeting are included in your weekly envelope today.
GR. 3-5 MID-QUARTER PROGRESS REPORTS - TODAY: Students in grades 3-5 will receive mid-quarter progress reports today. Parents of these students are asked to discuss the report with their child, then sign and return the report by

Our second quarter ends Friday, January 12, one week after we return from Christmas vacation.
FATHER ERIC IS IN GHANA: Father Eric left for Ghana Sunday, November 12 and he will return Friday, December 15. Please keep him in your prayers. Father Eric will say Mass for all the weekly intentions in Ghana. During this time there will not be daily Mass so our St. Francis students and staff will be participating in a special service in the Parish Hall on Wednesday mornings at 8:30. Parents and grandparents are always welcome!
ST. FRANCIS SCHOOL CLOTHING ORDERS: Our school clothing orders have arrived. We will be sending orders home today with students UNLESS you’ve indicated that you would like to pick up your order in the office. Please feel free to stop by the office at your convince during school hours.
NO SCHOOL - DECEMBER 8: Students will not have classes Friday, December 8 as we observe the holy day, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - DECEMBER 14: Grades K-5 will present their annual Christmas Program on Thursday, December 14 at 6:00 p.m. (please note time change) in the church. We will have a reception in the parish hall immediately following the program. Each family is asked to bring some type of food (cookies, bars, cheese & crackers, etc.) for this reception. A dress rehearsal will be held in the church on Wednesday, December 13 at 1:00 p.m. This is open to anyone who would like to attend.
Our main focus these two weeks will be making the final preparations for our K-5 Christmas Program! Mrs. Penton and our children have been working hard, and are very eager to share their efforts with you!
Thanks for the awesome response to my request for people to help with laundering costumes for the Christmas program! I’ll be in touch with those who have offered to help.
4YK WINTER PROGRAM - DECEMBER. 19: Our 4YK students will present a Winter Program to their parents and guests on Tuesday, December 19. Following the program, parents are asked to join their child in the classroom. We will conclude our activities at 9:30.
